Why does Google Flights get so much praise despite missing flights and high prices?

Hey guys,

Been using Google Flights (GF) for a while now, but I’ve noticed a recurring issue: it often misses a lot of available flights and usually shows more expensive options. On the other hand, Skyscanner usually works best for me, providing very accurate prices and many more options.

I’ve tried other popular options many times, but when it comes to flight availability and price, Skyscanner is by far the best for me. I’m curious why so many people here recommend GF so much and so often.

What are your views on this? Is there something I’m missing about GF that makes it worth the recommendation? Or is there another reason it gets so much praise?

Thanks in advance…

Hello, Google Flights gets praise for its user-friendly interface, comprehensive search capabilities, and useful features like price tracking and flexible date searches. Despite occasional missing flights and high prices, its overall convenience and functionality make it a popular choice among travelers

Google search results can sometimes be outdated by the time you see them because their web crawling system isn’t constantly scanning the entire internet.

Use the “private” mode. That way doesn’t work for tracking. If you look at the price more than once, you can be sure that they have raised it.
