I use compression packing cubes - they work really well for me.

Same here. Use them as cubes if you want but there is an extra zipper you can close to make them compression.
If you’re trying to pack the most things possible in a given amount of space, then obviously compression bags.
I use packing cubes because I pack very lightly and I don’t need the extra capacity.
Compression cubes.
Compression bags are the way to go for me. Great for saving space.
Compression bags.
This post makes me wonder if I need compression packing cubes.
Thanks everyone! I tried to read reviews for both, seems pretty equal, didn’t help! Lol.
I’m unfortunately unable to travel very light, so compression seems the best option for me. However, it seems they require a vacuum; what do you use when you’re abroad?
Are there any specific brands that work another way? Thanks for your suggestions and help!
@Andi
Go on Amazon and search for roll-up compression bags for travel. I bought some and you roll them to force the air out, so no vacuum needed. Mine were from the Chestnut store.
@Andi
I do also have compression cubes that I use as well. Also found on Amazon.
Pakcells, https://www.helikon-tex.com/en_eur/mo-o07-po-pakcell-set-polyester-ripstop.html?r=1.
They’re heavy-duty but lightweight packing cubes, with a compression strap. I average 250-300 nights away from home a year and these have been with me for the past 2 years, have done brilliantly, even when overloaded and the zips forced shut.
