Lufthansa Still Hasn’t Reimbursed Expenses from July 1 Canceled Flight

Hallo…

Our group of four had a flight from Venice to Frankfurt (LH331) canceled on July 1, and we were rebooked for the next evening. Lufthansa’s policy says we’re supposed to get reimbursed for meals and accommodations up to 500 Euro per person, but we only spent around 500 Euro total.
We submitted all the receipts, but we’re still waiting on the reimbursement. Has anyone else dealt with this? How long did it take to get your money back, and does anyone know how to speed things up with Lufthansa?

Your assistance will be highly valuable…

If your flight was canceled with fewer than 14 days’ notice, you could be eligible for compensation according EU regulations1. This might cost each participant up to $650 (€600).

Make sure you’ve filed a claim via Lufthansa’s proper channels if you haven’t already. On their website for compensation and reimbursement, you may accomplish this.

If your claim has been filed but is still pending, consider contacting Lufthansa customer support directly. A follow-up email or phone can sometimes speed up the procedure.

Make sure you are prepared with all of your receipts and paperwork. This includes any correspondence you may have had :face_exhaling:with Lufthansa, your ticket confirmation, and any receipts for costs paid as a result of the cancellation.

If you’re not hearing back, you could choose to use an organization like AirHelp, which deals with requests for flight reimbursement.
