Looking for suggestions on travel pillows

Hi y’all… I have a 10-hour flight coming up and I’ve traveled this distance before, but this time I want to arrive feeling fresh and rested, without neck pain if possible. I’m looking for recommendations on pillows and sleeping methods for a noon flight in economy seating. I thought about the trtl neck pillow, but I haven’t heard from anyone who’s used it, and it’s a bit pricey for something I might dislike. Any thoughts?

I have a trtl pillow and I love it. You might also want to check out the Travelrest pillow. I haven’t tried it yet but have heard good things and I’m planning to compare it to the trtl. If you don’t have a footrest, getting one of those is a good idea too :slight_smile:

What do you love about the trtl?

Just as others mentioned, it lets your head relax while keeping your neck supported, so you don’t get sore. It’s lightweight and easy to pack, and you can wash it in the machine. It is a bit pricey for what it is, but I would buy it again if needed.

I swear by it. It holds your neck in a stable position so you can relax without worrying about falling over. It’s fantastic.

I got an adjustable trtl for my long neck. It has a dial to extend the width. It’s the most comfortable one I’ve found.

I hated my trtl so much that I threw it away at the airport.

Was it a breathable one?

@Chen
I don’t think so, but I can’t remember.

I had the same issue.

I had a similar experience. I have a shorter neck and couldn’t find a comfortable position. I like the idea of it, though.

I left mine at the airport too! It was hot and I couldn’t get it adjusted to be more supportive than a regular travel pillow. It’s bulky and annoying to carry around. If you dislike tight collars, you might not like the trtl.

I now use the Sea to Summit Aeros Premium pillow. It packs small and doesn’t push your head forward. It’s not perfect but has the best features I’ve found.

I just flew from Singapore to New York and tried both the Trtl and the Ostrich pillows. Surprisingly, the best one for me was a cheap blow-up pillow since I could adjust it perfectly.

The Cabeau pillow is great. It’s memory foam and comes with a storage case. It doesn’t take much space compared to other popular ones. While it is pricey, it’s worth it for the strong neck support. It keeps your neck upright while leaning in. You can also tie it to your seat’s headrest to avoid leaning on your neighbor.

I’d steer clear of inflatable neck pillows as they haven’t worked well for me.

@Ripley
I agree on the Cabeau. It can fold up small, but once you’re in it, removing it can be tricky. It did help me initially, though!

@Ripley
This is the best travel pillow I’ve used! Plus, it’s flat in the back, so it doesn’t push your neck forward.
