It's Been Years Since We Traveled—Where Do We Start? (Family of 4 in New Jersey)

Hey folks, I’m in desperate need of some travel advice! It’s been years since our family of four (myself, my spouse, and two kids aged 8 and 12) has gone on a proper vacation, and we’re all itching to go somewhere. We live in New Jersey, and I honestly don’t even know where to begin planning this trip.

We’re looking for something family-friendly, ideally not too far, but we’re open to flying somewhere if it’s worth it. We’d love a mix of relaxation and activities for the kids—maybe a beach or a fun city with things to do.

Budget-wise, we’re flexible, but we don’t want to break the bank. I’m just feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the options out there and would really appreciate some guidance on how to get started. Any recommendations on destinations, planning tips, or even just how to start narrowing things down would be awesome. Thanks

If you are trying to retrieve an object stuck in your transmission, a few simple tools might help. You can use a blast of compressed air to move it to a more accessible spot, but be careful not to push it further in. A flexible grabber tool designed for tight spaces might also work. Attaching a small hose to a vacuum cleaner can create suction to pull the object out. If you have an endoscope with a hook, it could provide the visibility and reach needed. If these methods fail, it’s wise to seek professional help to avoid causing any damage.

Puerto Vallarta, México in the months of September and October you can find really cheap all inclusive hotels or hotels with suites like Grand Miramar (where you have a small kitchen and a nice breakfast buffet), even small hotel boutique like Patio Azul that isn’t all inclusive but food is amazing, big portions and not expensive at all.

Heat isn’t good (a relaxing pool is all you need) but those months are the lowest fares because there’s almost no tourists in town.
