How Much Liquid Can You Carry on a Plane?

I have an upcoming flight and I’m a bit confused about the rules regarding liquids in carry-on luggage. I have a lot of skincare and makeup that I want to bring along, and I’m concerned. Since this is my first time flying, I’m worried that I might have to discard many of these items. Can someone please clarify this for me?

Sure! It varies based on your departure point. For example, in the EU, you’re typically allowed 100ml bottles packed in a 1L bag, though sometimes it’s specified as a 20x20cm bag. Generally, the guidelines cover bottle size, bag dimensions, and you can pack as many bottles as the bag can hold, from what I know.

These are restricted to travel-sized containers, with each item weighing no more than 3.4 ounces which is 100 milliliters. It makes the screening process easier if you put these things in the tiny bag and keep them separate from your carry-on luggage. Stow anything in checked baggage that are in containers bigger than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters.
