I needed this when traveling and couldn’t find any quick simple website so I decided to make one myself (I am a programmer). It’s free, worldwide with many locations and there is extra info like opening times, fees, changing tables etc.

Technically going by numbers I think Flush should have about half (200,000 vs 450,000) of toilet.place, but of course you should use whatever works best for you. And coverage of a particular area might be different, it could be that Flush has more in Japan.
One time I was in a US city on vacation and I really had to use the restroom. There was an office building, the kind that had security in the lobby. I went to the security officer and said, I have an appointment, I am meeting someone here in the lobby but I’m early can I use the restroom.
Since I was dressed in Dockers pants, and button up shirt I could have passed for a visitor and not a tourist. So the security officer let me use the restroom in the lobby, I then sat down for a few minutes and looked at my phone, I got up and said oh they changed the meeting place, I guess I am going to meet them onsite…
@Nico
You reminded me of a similar story, by the late Kevin Mitnick, whose action at the time had a different objective. This is now known as “social engineering”
Always thought this idea would be a super popular app like GasBuddy, including ability to add or update ratings of cleanliness or security.
Maybe also if there are change tables / are child-friendly (for those who aren’t childless cat ladies ).
