Has anyone tried T-mobile’s data package while traveling compared to using E-sim? I know there’s a cost difference, but how’s the connection? Is T-mobile worth it
I used T-Mobile for four years while living in Europe and had no problems, but it really depends on your travel destination.

Got it. I’m going to Qatar and Dubai.
Getting a local E-sim will usually save you money, but Telekom/T-Mobile is a solid choice.
My wife and I have been using it for a year and a half while traveling in 25 countries. The free 5GB of data each month has been fantastic. If you have two lines, you can add a third line for free. I added a third line as an E-sim on my phone, so when I run out of the 5GB, I can switch and get another 5GB.
I had no issues in Dubai with T-Mobile or in any other countries I visited.
I have T-Mobile and the data package, but I always download the Holafly E-sim for my trips. It’s been a great addition to my travels.
I live in Germany and used an E-sim for my last two trips back to the US (each about 2-3 weeks). I had very few issues. Sometimes the connection was shaky, but it wasn’t worse than what I normally deal with (data and internet in Berlin can be terrible - I’ve had better data in the jungle in Cambodia). I’m planning to get one for Morocco in spring.
Local E-sim is always cheaper and easier.

My phone doesn’t support E-sim.

That changes things. I suggest picking up a local SIM card when you arrive. You’ll find many providers at the airport who can assist you. I did this in Ukraine and it was quick and easy. I looked for good data packages beforehand and found a company at the airport that installed the SIM and set everything up for me.
@Dare
Sounds good. I think I’ll go with that. Thanks for the help.
