I’m heading out on a trip soon and keep hearing mixed things about crossbody bags and safety. Do they actually help keep pickpockets away or make it harder for them to steal stuff? I’m looking for something that’s practical but still keeps my things secure. 
If you think they’re good, what brands or types of crossbody bags would you suggest? Anyone have personal experience with a certain bag—either good or bad?
