Umm… don’t ask them to make it with the plane’s water. Apparently, the in-flight water—and everything made with it, like coffee—has a lot of bacteria. Tests show that airplane water tanks are rarely sanitized, typically only when the planes go for maintenance.

Bring your own boiling water. Take a clean insulated bottle through security, then ask at any coffee shop to fill it with boiling water.
