Can I bring a pot noodle type item on a plane and ask the crew to make it for me? Or is this not allowed through security
They won’t cook your food, but if you ask for a hot cup of water, they should provide that
You can, but it sounds cheap. I don’t think the airline will help you for free or make it for you

That small cup wouldn’t be enough for the noodles
That’s why you should choose the cup noodles that come in their own containers
You can take it through security and they’ll probably be fine with giving you hot water

It can depend on the airline. If it’s a low cost one, they might not help you for free. On longer flights, though, they are more likely to assist, especially if you greet each crew member with a friendly smile when boarding. You should do that on every flight
You can take a pot noodle through security, but they won’t prepare it for you. Airlines usually don’t have cooking facilities, so you’d need to prepare it yourself once you’ve asked for hot water
This is a clever idea! I’ll definitely try it

Just ask for hot water and mix it in. What can they really say

On British flights, they’re around £3 or more, while I can grab it from a shop for £1

Ah, so like Ryanair or EasyJet. In that case, they will likely not help with it
For goodness sake, just pack a sandwich or some fruit or a muesli bar
What kind of flight is long enough that you need pot noodles as a meal but still has in-flight service

Budget airlines

I have been on long flights where they had cup noodles as a snack between meals
You can take it with you, but the flight attendants might not have hot water available or be able to help you prepare it
Some budget airlines say passengers can’t eat food not bought on the plane. Otherwise, they typically don’t mind, especially on full-service airlines
I’ve taken teabags or veggie broth in my usual water bottle and just put almost boiling water in it. I usually ask a concession stand at the airport to fill it up for me and often they don’t charge me
It varies by airline. I’m not sure all airlines will sell you hot water; they probably won’t give it to you for free. The prices they charge may not include that option. Otherwise, everyone would just bring their own coffee or tea on budget airlines and ask for hot water
