How is your evening…
I’ve been traveling on and off for a couple years now, and while it’s been amazing, I do get lonely sometimes. I’m in Salem right now, loving all the spooky vibes (seriously, favorite time of year!), but I’m curious—how do you all meet new friends while traveling?
Making friends as an adult is hard, so I’d love to hear your tips!
In anticipation…
Hostels: Meeting other travelers is a terrific benefit of staying in hostels. Common spaces, planned events, and socializing-encouraging trips are features of many hostels.
Walking Tours: Meeting other visitors is a great opportunity to participate in a walking tour. Since everyone is new, striking up a conversation is simple
Media and Apps: You may meet locals and fellow travelers before you even get there by using Couchsurfing, Meetup, and Facebook groups.
Public transportation: You can frequently meet individuals when traveling, whether by bus, rail, or airplane. Saying something like how beautiful the view is might be a great way to start a discussion.
Making a difference in the community and meeting new people may both be accomplished by volunteering for neighborhood initiatives or activities.
