What are the best snacks for a long flight?

I’m a huge foodie but, weirdly enough, I’ve never brought my own snacks on a flight. I’m going on a solo trip next month and want to change that. Any ideas?

I pack trail mix, beef jerky, dried fruit, chewy candies, and chips like crunchy Cheetos that can withstand being crushed for my trips. I steer clear of items like cheese, meats, and most berries that could melt or that I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating after they have been left out for a while.

You can consider any of the following options:

  • Protein bars: These are convenient and can keep you full for longer.
  • Dried fruit: Lightweight and packed with nutrients, dried fruits like apricots, mangoes, and apples are great for snacking.
  • Cup noodles: Just ask for hot water on the plane, and you have a warm, comforting meal.
  • Pretzels: Crunchy and low-fat, they make for a great snack.
  • Olives: A savory option that’s easy to pack.

For a long flight, pack snacks that are easy to eat and nutritious. Good options include mixed nuts, protein bars, dried fruit, cheese sticks, whole-grain crackers, and fresh fruit like apples or grapes. Avoid overly salty or greasy items to stay hydrated and comfortable.

Consider bringing some simple, non-perishable food for a lengthy journey, such as protein bars, pretzels, mixed nuts, or dried fruit. While they might not stay as long, fresh fruit and vegetables are still excellent.

Hello guys, ok for a long fight, the best snacks recommended is the nuts and seeds.

Great list of snack ideas for travel! Protein bars and dried fruits are especially handy and nutritious. I also love the idea of cup noodles for a quick, warm meal. Adding pretzels and olives to the mix gives a nice variety of flavors and textures. Thanks for sharing these suggestions!
