What are the best options for travel insurance?

There are many travel insurance providers, but finding one that doesn’t have hidden conditions can be tricky. When considering insurance for trip cancellations, which companies should I consider?

Allianz is reportedly the best. I typically suggest Chubb to clients. You can get all of your travel for 365 days covered for around $350. Coverage is good and their customer support is fantastic.

Chubb doesn’t offer online quotes in my state. What kind of local agent should I contact to get a quote? I thought AAA could quote from multiple companies, but it seems they are either affiliated with or contracted to only offer Allianz quotes. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I’m not certain if I can provide a quote if Chubb doesn’t, but I can give it a shot. If it doesn’t work out, we can always explore other options.

Travel Insured offers reasonably priced annual plans. I had to file a claim once, and the process went smoothly.

They’re all the same. You have to follow every rule exactly, and if you make one mistake, they won’t tell you. Instead, they’ll just leave you stuck until you figure it out on your own.

Paying out claims isn’t their priority.

I get it, but how can they even be allowed to sell insurance without providing the actual rules? I’ve asked for policy documents that clearly show what’s covered and what’s not in plain English, and they just refer me to the confirmation email. How is that supposed to help? The email barely has any information, just vague examples that may or may not fit your situation. Then, when you file a claim, they deny it for some random reason.

It’s all because the healthcare industry has been lobbying politicians to deregulate the sector, allowing them to get away with unethical and greedy practices. This lack of oversight lets them operate with minimal accountability, putting profits over people.

Bullshit. Just shut up the hell man.

If you’re gonna be rude, at least have something to say

Avoid Oona Insurance if you’re flying from the Philippines. Their service is terrible, especially through their third-party handler, Pacifico Assistance. The so-called 24/7 worldwide hotline is not helpful at all.

I’ve been hearing more recommendations for Safety Wing travel insurance lately. I’m thinking about using them myself at the moment.

I just checked out Chubb’s travel insurance, and their 1-year policy is reasonably priced. The single-trip plan offers significantly more coverage, which we don’t need, but it costs about 4 to 5 times more.

Options vary depending on individual preferences and needs. It’s a good idea to compare providers like World Nomads, Travel Guard, or AIG. Be sure to read reviews and carefully check the coverage details to find the best fit for your situation.

I am looking for same info, but am from Canada and over 65…

Don’t settle for less, man. I tried Sitata, and their insurance was solid with plenty of benefits.
