Vietnam E-Visa – Wrong Place of Birth, Will I Be Okay?

Hallo…

I’m getting a bit nervous and need some advice. While filling out my Vietnam e-visa, I accidentally put ‘Australia’ as my place of birth instead of the city that’s on my passport. It wasn’t a required field, but I filled it in anyway. Everything else on the application is correct.
:grinning:
I’ve seen too many posts about people having issues with their Vietnam e-visa, and now I’m worried this could be a problem when I arrive.
Has anyone else made a mistake like this? Will it cause any issues? I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences.

Best wishes…

It can lead to problems :heart_eyes:if you put the incorrect birthplace on your Vietnam e-Visa application. Your e-Visa and passport details must perfectly match.

If there are differences, you may experience difficulties attempting to get into Vietnam or onto your aircraft. :unamused:

Unfortunately, an e-Visa cannot be changed once it has been granted.Reapplying for an e-Visa with the updated information is the recommended line of action. :face_exhaling:

:sunglasses:This would be the safest course of action to guarantee a seamless entry into Vietnam if you have ample time before your trip.

To speed up the procedure if you’re in a rush, you might want to think about employing an urgent visa service.
