Trip to Calgary/Banff - October 5-12, 2024

How are u …

I’m a 32M from Canada, and I’m thinking about heading to Calgary and Banff from October 5 to 12, 2024. It’ll be my first time there, and I’ve got a pretty open itinerary.
I’d love to connect with anyone else planning a trip around that time or who knows the area well. If you’re down to explore together or just want to share some tips, hit me up!

Pliz advise on this…

Anticipate brisk, chilly weather. Early in the month, daytime highs are between 7°C and 13°C (45°F and 55°F), but later in the month, they can fall as low as 3-6°C (37-43°F). It may get cold at night, frequently falling below freezing.: A little warmer than Banff, but still similar. Weather that is a blend of early winter and fall is what to expect.

Take in the breathtaking vistas and, if the weather permits, go on a canoe trip.
For hiking, Tunnel Mountain and Johnston Canyon are excellent choices. Just bring layers and be ready for varied weather.

Take in the expansive vista of the metropolis. :unamused: Discover the biggest living history museum in Canada.

The key is layers. Pack warm clothes, such as thermals, sweaters, and a quality jacket. Remember to include a hat, gloves, and supportive hiking boots.

As October is shoulder season, :grin:there won’t be as many people as there would be in the summer, however certain services could end after Canadian Thanksgiving on October 14.
