I agree with this. I always make sure I have a once-a-week pamper day during the trip - get a hair spa or a massage or any me-time care around the area. Even just stay at the hotel, soak in a tub, read a book, and stay in. It helps refresh my mind and body from all the travel stress.
I used to think the opposite, that travel meant GO GO GO, until I crashed one day during a trip (like, emotionally) and decided to do it differently. This is still not a rule for everyone, but it definitely helps on long trips.
Order takeout? Why when there’s room service? Or you can chill by the pool and have a meal.
