Is RTPCR Test Required for Traveling to the USA?

Hello all…I’m an Indian going for my master’s to the USA in the first week of August, traveling from Delhi. I know that it was required for anyone traveling to the US to show a negative RTPCR report a couple of years back. But is that still a requirement? Should I still get an RTPCR test done before my flight? If yes, how many hours before departure do I need to get tested? I think it was 72 but just want to confirm.

Thanks

America hasn’t cared about COVID in the slightest since they got Trump out of office

Check the latest travel guidelines as requirements change. As of now, most US travel restrictions have eased, but confirming with your airline or official sources for current RTPCR requirements is best.

When I traveled from Delhi to the US for my studies, I faced similar concerns about COVID-19 requirements. At that time, the rule was indeed to show a negative RTPCR test result within 72 hours of departure. However, regulations frequently change, so I recommend checking the latest guidelines from both the US Embassy in India and your airline to confirm current requirements before your trip. It’s always best to get the most up-to-date information directly from official sources to ensure a smooth travel experience.
