Inquiry About Using a UPS Mailbox as a Permanent Address for Travel Nursing

Good evening…

I’m about to start travel nursing but don’t have a permanent address right now. I’m thinking of getting a UPS mailbox in Washington to use as my address while I’m on assignments. Has anyone done this or know if it works?
Here’s what I’m wondering
Taxes and legal stuff: Would using a UPS mailbox mess with taxes or other legal paperwork? I know some things need a real residential address.
Licensing: I’ll be working in different states—would having a UPS box as my address cause problems when applying for state nursing licenses or compact licensure?
Mail handling: How good is UPS at forwarding important stuff like tax forms, pay stubs, etc.? Is it a hassle to keep up with? Travel benefits: Does using a UPS box affect travel stipends or reimbursements? I just want to make sure I’m doing everything right and not missing out on anything.
If anyone has experience with this or knows other ways to handle a permanent address while traveling, I’d love to hear your advice!

Your advice is highly welcome…

A UPS mailbox gives you an actual street address, which is helpful for receiving shipments and mail of all kinds, including those from carriers who do not deliver. This is in contrast to a PO Box.

UPS mailboxes include features including SMS alerts when shipments arrive, mail forwarding, and package acceptance from all carriers. :unamused: This guarantees that, wherever you are, you can always be informed about your mail and packages23.

:blush:At participating locations, you may pick up your mail whenever it’s convenient for you thanks to 24-hour access. Especially for travel nurses with potentially erratic schedules, this is advantageous

A UPS mailbox may provide you a professional address for business correspondence, which can improve your reputation :unamused:

You may have your mail forwarded to your current address for an extra cost, which will guarantee that you never miss any crucial paperwork.
