How to get past a travel rut

The only advice I’d give is to bring things that remind you of home. I pack my memory foam pillow, it’s a bit big but can be squished down if I kneel on my suitcase. Items like small fans, iPads for movies, and comfort snacks really help. I also take favorite sweaters, comfy pants, and cozy socks.

I try to exercise in small bursts too, which helps with restlessness. Hydroxyzine for sleep can help as it’s an anti-anxiety med.

They’re small things, but they really help ease the stress.

Absolutely! I think if you can create a travel routine that includes some physical activity and relaxation, it can help a lot. I love the down dog app for my iPad for DIY yoga. They have tons of options to customize, and I love their stretching and recovery yoga. You can set the time too, so if you only have 15 minutes, that’s enough to get something done. I also like workout bands that fit easily in my suitcase, allowing for a short workout in a hotel room.

I agree with everyone here, take time to relax and rest, especially if you’re under the weather. Maybe skip a team dinner for a night and do something nice for yourself if the chance comes up.
