Hey guys, I’ve been burning through cash on rental cars during my travels this year. My usual go-to for booking is Expedia, but I’m wondering if there are better ways to snag some sweet deals. Any tips on scoring budget-friendly rentals? And are there any rewards programs out there that are actually worth joining? I’ve looked into a few, but none seem all that impressive.

According to a Hertz car manager, "Costco consistently offers the lowest rates almost every time, and they provide excellent customer service if any issues arise. It’s tough to find a better deal than that.

At Costco, I always had the choice of various rental agencies. Budget typically edges out the competition by a few dollars, but I’ve noticed that the lines at their counters are often among the longest.

I rented a car through Costco for my trip to Hawaii once, and it was only a third of the price compared to any other rental agency.
