Footcare and footwear

I generally make an effort not to wear the same shoes every day of the week. Just to prevent my feet from being sore and to allow the shoes to breathe a little.

However,

I’m going on a trip soon. I’ll go trekking and engage in outdoor activities most days. One pair of hiking boots and one pair of elegant sandals are all I’m bringing.

How can I bear having to wear the same shoes every day? Which are the best ways to maintain my shoes and feet?

Every night, bring some baking soda and talc powder sachets (or something similar) and stuff them inside your shoes. To dry them out, place them in front of or above the fan or air conditioner, if you have one, where you are staying. The same powder may be applied to your feet before to donning them. If you have access to a blow dryer, you may quickly fix your shoes by sticking it in and then repeating the previous few steps. To let them air out, you may also place them outside on a cold, dry night.

Airflow and keeping your foot or shoe as dry as possible are crucial. Socks that fit properly might also be beneficial.

Great question! For your hiking boots, make sure to break them in before the trip to avoid blisters. After wearing them each day, let them air out and dry completely before wearing them again. For your sandals, consider bringing some foot powder to keep your feet fresh and dry

A game changer for me was putting moisturizer in my socks, and that made a huge difference, not gonna lie. For me, this is now a must
