I’m looking to plan a family vacation in the UK without breaking the bank. We’re a family of four (two adults, two kids) and would love some recommendations for affordable destinations and activities. We’re open to both city breaks and countryside retreats.
Here are a few things we’re looking for:
Family-friendly activities
Budget accommodations
Affordable dining options
Any tips on saving money while traveling
Would love to hear about your experiences and suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help!
I travel solo and like to do activities, so I often book relatively cheap package holidays to tourist destinations. This way, I can book excursions and activities without worrying about the “minimum 2 people” requirement. I prioritize spending money on experiences while booking basic self-catering accommodation, which is harder to save on when you’re alone.
I just booked a trip that’s £200 cheaper than other dates because one of the flights is on a Friday the 13th! It’s not dirt cheap, but it’s cheaper than the other options!
