Can you carry food through airport security?

Hi everyone, I’m planning to go through airport security with some wraps or maybe bean burritos. Is this possible? Has anyone done it before? Is it a big deal?

It’s okay as long as it’s not a liquid, like soup. I always pack snacks and sandwiches for my trips. I even went through security with a salad in hand and simply mixed my salad dressing with my liquid, and it worked out great.

Not a problem unless you are traveling abroad. They oppose the movement of invasive pests across the border.

It depends on the destinations of your flights. For instance, food import restrictions are strictly enforced in Australia.

Hi everyone, for my case solid food items and not liquids or gels can be transported in, it is either your carry on or checked bags. Always check the specific guidelines of the airport and airline you are traveling with, as regulations can vary. But again it is not a must to carry food to the airport.

Yes, you can generally carry food through airport security checkpoints, but there are some important considerations and guidelines to keep in mind.
