Can you bring a plant on a plane?

Hi y’all, I have a question about traveling with plants. Can you bring a plant on a plane? I have a small plant that I’d love to take with me on my trip, but I’m not sure if it’s allowed or if there are any restrictions. If anyone has any experience or information, TIA

TSA allows plants in carry-on or checked bags, but keep it carry-on sized and check with your airline for any size limits. Going international? Those rules can change, so research what’s allowed where you’re landing. Quick tip: ditch the soil for carry-on plants, wrap the roots in damp paper towels instead.

Apparently, the TSA in the US allows plants in both carry-on and checked bags, but there could be some restrictions. Anyone know what the deal is? Maybe some tips on how to travel with a plant safely? Thanks in advance!

That sounds like an incredibly surreal experience! Imagine boarding a plane and finding yourself in the middle of a mobile jungle. It’s great that you can now definitively say that you can take your plant onboard! Your story is a delightful reminder of how travel can sometimes surprise us in the most unexpected ways.
