What are the best places to view the Northern Lights?

I’m in Portland, Oregon, and I could see the magnificent Northern lights and Aurorea Borealis quite too well. Can’t wait for the next one that’s supposed to happen on the 8th of June

Iceland is beautiful, but not everyone can see its colors. I sadly found out that I see gray at night. I’m not colorblind, but it seems that I see colors differently in the dark.

@Artemis Finland, Tromsø, or Norway. You may go out every night for a week and never see them with your own eyes, so be ready for that.

When choosing a destination to see the aurora, it’s important to pick a place you want to visit regardless of the aurora’s visibility. For instance, you can visit Iceland or Fairbanks, Alaska.

My mom and I went to Iceland in March. Even though it was cloudy every night, we still had an amazing time exploring the beautiful landscapes and enjoying the unique culture. On the other hand, my husband and I went to Fairbanks, Alaska, in January, and we were lucky to see the aurora. It got down to -2°F, which was cold but not unbearable.

Remember, wherever you go near the Arctic in winter, it’s going to be cold. So, choose a place you’d love to visit anyway. That way, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you’ll still have a wonderful trip.

Cant say that I know the best places, But I’m so happy that I got to see them in Florida at the end of May this year, it was for a short time though. I’m told the last time they were spotted here was in 1989

The best locations are in Norway’s Tromso. Situated at the epicenter of the aurora zone in the Norwegian Arctic, the city is considered among the top destinations globally for witnessing the Northern Lights. … Greenland; Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland; Reykjavik, Iceland; Swedish Lapland; Ilulissat, Greenland; Svalbard, Norway.

Hello, Artemis. The nicest place is Abisko, Sweden. A dry climate increases the chances of having a clear sky. Look it up; it’s well-known.
