Looking to plan a getaway and heard Costco has some pretty sweet vacation packages. Anyone tried them out? What destinations or deals did you find worth checking out? Would love some tips or recommendations on how to get the most bang for your buck!
I booked a Costco package for a one-week trip to Italy for my husband and me. I did not remember the exact cost, but you could pay in installments. The package included hotels, airport transfers, and train rides between cities. I recommend it for first-timers like us. Costco arranged nice business class train seats, and the airport transfers had classy drivers and cars. We also received free wine or champagne as welcome drinks in our hotel rooms.
We used them for a trip to Europe. The tour was booked through Costco and organized by Trafalgar. We had a great experience with no complaints. The tour lasted just under three weeks, if I remember correctly.
I booked a trip to Hawaii (Honolulu) that included flights, a hotel, and a rental car for three people. The price was competitive, and having the rental car was essential, which made the deal very attractive. I couldn’t get the same price if I booked everything separately.
I am the one who plans our family vacations. Sometimes I put them together myself, and other times I use a service. I like using Costco when I can. We booked a Disneyland resort through them, and they had rooms with an amazing view of the evening light show, so we didn’t have to deal with the crowds. We also booked a trip to Oahu and got a fantastic beach view. Costco has been great at sorting out any issues with hotels. While Expedia can also get you good rooms, if there’s a problem, the hotel can’t do much to fix it, and Expedia isn’t helpful. I’ve had better customer service with Costco. The real test of customer service is how they handle problems.
