Am I right to avoid aggregators like Priceline, Booking.com, etc.?

Hallo…

I always avoid using third-party sites like Priceline, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, and other travel sites when booking hotels or flights. I usually just book directly through the hotel or airline because I’m worried about getting scammed, hidden fees, or having a hard time with cancellations.
Am I overthinking this, or is there actually something to worry about? Have any of you had good or bad experiences with these sites?
Would love to hear your thoughts before my next trip!

Best wishes…

Depending on your tastes and travel requirements, avoiding travel aggregators such as Priceline, :thinking:Booking.com, and others may offer advantages and disadvantages.

Resolving problems with direct bookings with hotels or airlines might be simpler because there won’t be a middleman involved.

Aggregators frequently  offer a practical means of comparing costs from several sources, which may result in cost savings.

In the end, it comes  down to what matters more to you: direct control and possible benefits when making a direct reservation, or ease and possible savings when utilizing an aggregator.

Booking directly may :grinning: result in more savings or benefits, particularly if you are a member of a reward club.
