Am I making a mistake going to Korea, Japan, and Taiwan in July and August?

Hallo people…
I’ve been itching to visit Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, and I’m eyeing July and August 2025 for the trip. I’ve heard it’s super hot and humid during those months, and I’m not great with heat.

I’m planning a chill trip—just exploring, soaking up the culture, and doing some work on the side. Not really into partying or anything.

Given the weather, do you think it’s a bad idea to go in summer? I’ve traveled a lot in Europe and Australia, and South America isn’t on my radar right now.

Would it be better to push the trip to later in the year? I’m considering August 23 to September 29 for a shorter trip with hopefully cooler weather. October 2025 could also work, but it’s not set in stone yet.

In anticipation and many thanks,

Aint no worries, :laughing:Particularly in urban areas, be ready for extreme heat and humidity.:star_struck: These are the months when there is a greater chance of experiencing typhoons, however this is not a given.

This is a time for cultural immersion, as many nations host festivals and other events. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
During the off-peak season, certain hotels and airfares may offer discounts. :face_exhaling:

During these busy summer months, there are often less tourists, making for a more laid-back atmosphere. :sunglasses:

Ultimately, the choice to visit during this time comes down to your personal preferences and comfort. If you’re open to embracing the challenge and flexible enough to adjust, you can still create a memorable experience.

:open_mouth:Though not guaranteed, there is a possibility of encountering typhoons during this period, which could disrupt travel plans.
